We were really happy that we stopped in this restaurant, amazing experience. 1 man does everything, from service to cooking. The food was delicious and he even has (great) draft beer on tap.

this are one of those old restaurants kind of ambiance. but the food that was being served are delicious. we order a couple of foods in the menu but somehow we were able to finish everything that we order, not full to the stomach but very satisfying.

We were lucky to find this restaurant as a great change from seeing Hida Beef advertised at almost every other restaurant in Takayama. After walking for about 30 minutes and finding everywhere full for lunch we found this place next to our hotel. It looks a bit run down inside but the owner is doing an excellent job cooking and serving. We enjoyed lunch set meal, gyoza one and teriyaki pork one. All tasted really good, pork was tender and the side dishes were delicious. Price very reasonable too for an excellent meal.

Went to this place with my family as a lot of other places were closed and this was close to our hotel. Only the owner doing everything, very friendly and speaks enough English to understand orders. Menue is cheap and food is great, feels like home. Restersunt has a very slight scent of kerosene however this is due to the heater keeping the place nice and cosy. Definitely would come again great resteraunt and owner. Food comes out very fast for one person working everything and owner really puts his all into everything, very greatful and glad we came!

We had a great night with excellent food and drink. The owner did everything from greeting to cooking and serving. He didn’t stop, he works hard. I would happily recommend this restaurant

Best fried rice I've ever had. With so many places closed the night we went, this place was still open as we did not want food form the 7-11. The owner is so gracious and we used a translation app to place our order. Wish we had time to have gone back because the menu is large. Only issue I had was the smell of diesel gas in the restaurant but since we took our order to go, didn't care too much, overall.
